Leveling route from 1 to 400
Which map to go to at each level, how experience is calculated and how it drops with resets.
How you earn experience
- Each monster gives experience based on its level: the higher the monster, the more it gives.
- If your character is more than 10 levels above the monster, experience drops proportionally. That's why you should keep moving up to new maps.
- Experience is split based on the damage you dealt to each monster.
- A single hit can level you up once at most: the extra is lost.
- All of that is multiplied by the server rate: x150 on a free account (more on VIP, see VIP).
- In Blood Castle monsters give half experience.
How much experience each level needs
Total experience needed to reach each level. From level 256 every level adds an extra step, which in 99B is a quarter of the one in newer versions.
| Level | Total experience |
|---|---|
| 10 | 19,000 |
| 50 | 1,475,000 |
| 100 | 10,900,000 |
| 150 | 35,775,000 |
| 200 | 83,600,000 |
| 220 | 110,836,000 |
| 250 | 161,875,000 |
| 280 | 231,888,500 |
| 300 | 305,437,500 |
| 320 | 415,058,500 |
| 350 | 674,425,000 |
| 380 | 1,085,153,500 |
| 400 | 1,463,862,500 |
Experience drops with resets
To keep your first resets fast and make later ones harder, the rate goes down based on how many resets you've done:
| Resets | Exp |
|---|---|
| 0 to 4 resets | 100% |
| 5 to 10 resets | 88% |
| 11 to 20 resets | 72% |
| 21 to 35 resets | 58% |
| 36 resets or more | 48% |
With a Master Reset your resets go back to 0, and the rate goes back to 100% with them.
Route by map
Monster levels come from the server configuration. "Entry" is the minimum level to get there with the Move window (M key); the Magic Gladiator and the Dark Lord need 2/3 of that level.
| Map | Entry | Monsters (Level) | Strongest |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lorencia | 10 | 2–19 | Skeleton Warrior, Giant, Golden Budge Dragon |
| Noria | 20 | 3–18 | Stone Golem, Agon, Forest Monster |
| Stadium (Arena) | 200 | 12–12 | Soccer Ball |
| Devias | 30 | 15–52 | Ice Queen, Bali, Elite Yeti |
| Kalima 1-6 | — | 17–140 | Kundun, Schriker, Necron |
| Dungeon | 30 | 19–80 | Lance, Iron Stick, Fire |
| Atlans | 50 | 43–108 | Hydra, Sea Worm, Lizard King |
| Lost Tower | 80 | 47–90 | Meteorite, Balrog, Death Gorgon |
| Tarkan | 140 | 72–93 | Death Beam Knight, Zaikan, Beam Knight |
| Icarus | 170 | 75–100 | Giant Drakan, Phantom Knight, Alpha Crust |
Tips
- Levels 1 to 20: Lorencia (or Noria if you're an Elf). Kill whatever gives you experience without dying.
- Levels 20 to 60: Dungeon and Devias. In Devias, Yeti and Elite Yeti are some of the best for this stage.
- Levels 60 to 130: Atlans and Lost Tower. Lost Tower has 7 floors; the higher you go, the stronger the monsters.
- From 130: Tarkan, Icarus and Kalima.
- In a party you earn more than solo and everyone hits together. See Party.
- Make the most of Blood Castle and Devil Square: they give a lot of experience as a reward.
